Revlon Butter Balm

These are brand new from Revlon, and I managed to snag one (I've not been able to find them in my local Boots, I had to go further afield).

The concept with the Butter Balm is that it is really a lip balm that contains a hint of glitter, this can then be worn on its own or with your current lip product. As you can see in the swatch above there is only a hint of glitter, and you can just see something there on the back of my hand.

I know the idea of glitter on the lips will send you back to your teenage years (it does me), but over the top of a lipstick when your on a night out this surprisingly works, because there is a hint there when the lights hit your lips it will bring out the sparkle of the glitter.

These can always be worn on their own just for their amazing lip butter properties to moisturise the lips and add some shine to them.

Overall they aren't bad, a good moisturiser for the lips.

They can be found in Boots and on their website here and retail for £7.99.

NYX Love in Paris Palette - Madeleines & Macaroons

I love NYX cosmetics, and the packaging is lovely, I've started to get into palettes, I mean what's not to love you have a range of eyeshadows in one place to suit your mood. and they can help you change your look from day to night.

This little palette caught my eye due to the range of colours (yes I'm an au naturel kinda girl), and the packaging was really quite pretty (I especially love the little bow on the clasp).

As you can see there isn't much pigmentation, but remember that it is just one swipe on the back of the hand, when being applied I always end up packing it on to the eyelid and then blending it over the lid.

I have used a lot of the lighter shades during the week for work as they aren't too dark and not too light so you know there is something there.

It is a nice palette, and there are different options in the Love In Paris range from NYX, these can be found at your local NEXT or on the NYX website here and retails for £10.

The Body Shop Passion Fruit Shower Gel

This I bought when it was on sale at The Body Shop in the New Year (I'm unsure if you can still get this but if you can it's worth having a nosy at). I previously had the passion fruit body butter (which smelled lovely), and thought while this was on sale to see what it was like.

I love how strong the scent is once you've got the hot water running, it just fills the entire bathroom. What I also love is you only need a tiny amount to get the gel lathered, you can see in the picture that I have been using this for 3 months straight nearly and I'm not even a 1/4 of the way down.

As always The Body Shop know how to bring it when it comes to their shower gels, they are soap free so they are kinder to sensitive skin.

Botanics Rosewater Toning Spritz

This is one of my new favourite products, I picked this up as I had a coupon to get some points from Boots for buying a product in the Botanics range. I saw this on the shelf and thought I would give it a whirl.

What you do is once you've taken your makeup off you then spray this onto the skin and then use a cotton wool pad to then remove it. It removes that last bits of make-up from the skin and will tighten up your pores.

I will admit the first time I used this I did feel my pores tightening up and my skin has been feeling a lot fresher since using this. It also does catch a lot of the makeup which may still be on my face and gives my face a nice refresh ready for putting my moisturiser on.

The pump can be a bit of a pain to push down and you do have to hold your breath (you'll breathe in more than you put on your face otherwise), but it is still worth it in my eyes.

This normally retails on the Boots website for £4.99 here.

SEVENTEEN Flawless Poreless Primer

Primers are normally seen in a tube or pump bottle, it is very rare that you see a primer in a palette type form, so this was a new experience.

The way you are instructed to apply this is by using your fingers, and I don’t know if it was just me but I didn't feel like I was getting any product onto my fingers (I ended up using a foundation brush by the end)

I love primers, especially when they work, this one not so much it was just such a hassle trying to get it out of the pan (it didn't feel like any was coming out) even using a foundation brush I still wasn't sure that I was getting a good coverage in the places that I needed it.

Overall I really wasn't impressed with this primer it just didn't do anything for me in the end and I just gave up with it in the end.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation - Light Vanilla

After my first proper foray into foundation I've managed to get a small idea of what colour is best suited to my skin type.

I have started using Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation in light vanilla, I've heard some great things about Bourjois foundation so thought this would be a good starting point.

It contains a fruit therapy formula that is supposed to help enhance the skin's complexion, this fruit formula contains Apricot, melon and apple (which all do different things for the skin) it also has quite a fruity scent when you apply the foundation to the skin.

The foundation seems to be a full to medium coverage foundation that does cover the face quite well, I also noticed that it feels light on the skin even though it has quite high coverage. As it is a high coverage foundation you really do not need to apply a load of the product as a little goes a long way.

This is a great colour and matches my skin really well, I haven't really noticed any particular effects of the fruit therapy for my skin, but I do like the coverage and the colour.

Hook And Line - China Glaze

This polish is from China Glaze's Hunger Games collection (I bought mine from Nail Polish Direct), and deals with District 4 which is best known for its fishing industry, and it's victors Finnick and Mags.

This is a lovely mercurial silver, a colour that I think is brilliant for December/ January when it's frosty. The polish goes on really well and there was hardly any problems with the dreaded right hand.

The 1st coat goes a tiny bit streaky and three coats seems best as will all metallics they just need that extra coat to make it fully opaque.

I really did like this polish and will wear it again when the next Hunger Games movie comes out.

KIKO Mono Eyeshadow

I'm fairly new to KIKO and their make-up range, so at the moment I only have a few of their products in my collection.

Brown eyeshadows, always good for a natural look, and you just know I love that natural look, these are two of the offerings from their solo eyeshadow range, which have a very large selection of colours (Good Times!).

The two I have are 134 Pearly Cocoa, and 122 Mat Beaver Brown.

Pearly Cocoa is a dark brown with a shimmer running through it, you can see in the swatch above that on first impact it is highly pigmented. Good as a crease colour in a smokey eye look with the lighter brown.

Mat Beaver Brown is a light matte brown eyeshadow, not that pigmented on first impact on the back of the hand but when it is packed onto the eyeshadow it does show up. As I said good for a base colour and then adding the pearly cocoa on the outer corners and the crease to outline the eyes.

These are great eyeshadows and I am looking forward to adding some more to the collection.

Natural Collection Pressed Powder - Cool

I love a good face powder, especially one that will set my make up and stop it from slipping off of my face during the day.

This retails for £1.99 so very inexpensive, it helps to combat shine (so good for the combination skin), and sets your foundation to help it last through the day. It comes in 3 shades:

  • Warm
  • Neutral
  • Cool

You can tell by the packaging that it is a cheap makeup product as it's just a plastic pan with a screw top lid (none of that fancy compact with the flip top lid, and mirror, as well as a sponge). For the price of the product you get 10g worth of product which is good value for money.

I was dubious about this powder because of the price the saying cheap and nasty comes to mind, but this was more like cheap, and cheerful.

The powder was easily applied with a powder brush, and went on the skin quite translucent and gave off a cool tone to the skin. You may have to reapply during the day, and this can be difficult due to the no mirror so that does let it down somewhat, but overall it is a good little powder, so if you're facing skint week and run out of face powder this is a good one for £1.99 so it doesn't break the bank.

You can find this product in Boots at the Natural Collection make-up stand or online here.

Espresso - Barry M

Welcome to another entry from the Barry M Matte collection, this is a black polish that dries to a matte finish once on the nails.

Black nail polish can be a frightening experience but by having the polish as a matte it dampens down the bluntness of the black nail polish.

The 1st coat was opaque but a 2nd was added just to make sure that the polish was fully opaque. I love this range of nail polishes (I do like a matte finish, very classy). The polish was really easy to apply and not too drippy or claggy, there also weren't that many mistakes on the dreaded right hand.

Bourjois Little Round Eyeshadow Pot

I love Bourjois Little Round Eyeshadow Pots, the packaging alone is just so pretty, and they stand out especially in your makeup collection.

I have 2 from the main eyeshadow range, and 3 from the intense line (will do a separate post on these). The 2 I have a 10 and 54.

10 is a glittery gold/cream shade, this would be great for a base when creating a smokey eye. This can be worn on it's own (which I have done) and it does look quite good especially during the day.

54 is a lovely shimmery brown colour good for during the day or for a smoky eye. The pigmentation is really good with this one.

Both colours are gorgeous but I have to admit I do love the brown colour more due to the fact that its pigmentation is a lot higher then the gold so you need less of the product.

Beauty UK Eye Prime FX Eyeshadow Primer

I'm always on the lookout for a great eyeshadow primer, and I may have just found one to rival my Avon Lid Primer.

I bought this from Superdrug to try out, it was very inexpensive at just £3.49.

It comes with a sponge applicator that you just put onto the eyelids, I put a dab onto my eyelid and then blend all over the lid.

Now with an eyeshadow primer you want staying power and my giddy aunt does this have it, I put the primer and eyeshdow on at 7:45AM, and didn't take it off till nearly midnight and it didn't even move, hadn't even creased.

This is the bar to beat for me when it comes to eyeshadow primer, and yes I will definitely be repurchasing this again.

NYX Matte Setting Spray

I love NYX products, the packaging is lovely and the quality isn't that bad either and I have been wanting to try the matte setting spray ever since I found out NYX are stocked in Next stores.

I finally bought a bottle in store and when my Collection setting spray ran out I grabbed this to take it's place.

Once this has been sprayed onto the face it has quite an odd smell, almost clinical. I picked up the matte spray as I already have oily skin (especially around the T-Zone) so there is some shine there which I want to dampen down. Once it has dried on the skin I have noticed that it does leave my skin looking matte, but I can sometimes find patches forming around my T-Zone. I also find that when I spray the product onto my face it seems to go everywhere else but my face (my work shirt ends up covered in the stuff).

It's a nice setting spray, but for the price of £8 I don't think I would buy again as I can get the same product but cheaper.

E.L.F. Haul

DISCLAIMER: I am not bragging, I am just showing what products I have recently bought that may show up in future blog posts. I bought all the products with my own money.

I have been wanting to try some products from E.L.F. for a while and recently they had a couple of offers (Free shipping and 50% off when you spend £30)

As you will see this post is a tiny bit picture heavy, as I did manage to get quite a lot of things.

Clarifying Pressed Powder - I love using a face powder to set my make up and for £1.50 this was a bit of a steal, I grabbed the lightest shade which was Ivory, so I am looking forward to using it.

Lipstick - I bought 2 of their lipsticks in Fantasy and Charming, a brown, and a rose red, pigmentation on the hand wasn't that good I had to use it a couple of times just to get a good colour.

Single Eyeshadow - I have to admit these I bought for the packaging, they remind me so much of NARS packaging, I've already used Wild Wheat and it is such a lovely colour on the lids. They are quite pigmented and go on quite well.

Tone Correcting Powder - Cool - I ordered the tone correcting powder in Cool (I did have a problem with this item as the mirror was hanging out of the casing, I did contact E.L.F and they gave me a refund, I did manage to fix the mirror by using a hot glue gun).

Kohl Eyeliner: Black - This is quite a different eyeliner as it is quite a thick pencil, on the other end it has a smudger to allow you to smudge the eyeliner under the eyes.

Daily Brush Cleaner, Mineral Face Primer - Green, Flawless Finish Foundation, Make-Up Mist & Set
Daily Brush Cleanser - I always use No7 which retails for £8 so I wanted to try this as it was half the price.
Mineral Face Primer - I bought the primer in green to help combat redness on the face.
Flawless Finish Foundation: Porcelain - I have gone against the great Lisa Eldridge and bought a foundation online (I do feel a tiny bit guilty about it), I bought the lightest shade to try and see what it is like.
Makeup Mist and Set - You all know what I am like for my setting sprays, this was only £3.95 and is the same amount as MUA (£5), and NYX Matte Spray (£8).

Blending Eye Brush - I'm trying to teach myself how to create a smoky eye so I grabbed a blending brush to help with blending all the eyeshadow together.
Stipple Brush - My Real Techniques stippling brush fell apart on me so I needed a replacement and for £3.95 I thought I would give it a try.
Foundation Brush - You can't have too many foundation brushes
Eye Crease Brush - As I said I am trying my hand at a smoky eye and I thought this would be good for putting eyeshadow in the crease.
Total Face Brush - I was a bit let down by this brush, the bristles are quite rough on the skin, and I did have a lot of them falling out on me.

Loose Eyeshadow - Finally, I bought two of their loose eyeshadow sticks (I had another problem with one of these, if you look closely you can see the crack, same as the tone correcting powder I contacted E.L.F and I managed to fix the product with sticky tape in the end)

Have any of you used any of these products? If so what do you think of them?

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails

This was recommended to me by Simonne from ThirtyOAP, and thank you for recommending it, this is a complete godsend.

All you do is once you have painted your nails you shake the can and spray it onto your nails, leave it to dry for 60 seconds and you are ready to Rock N Roll

I painted my nails and then sprayed this onto them, I waited 1 minute, did the touch test (to see if they were dry), and then I ended up taking a cake out of it's tin (and there was no smudges on the polish).

The price is quite reasonable at just over £3 it is not going to break the bank, Good Times!

This is my holy grail of nail polish dryers, and one that I will be repurchasing again and again, so again Simonne thank you again for recommending this to me, I salute you!!

Collection Work the Colour Eyeshadow Pencils

I love an eyeshadow pencil, they are the greastest things to be invented, especially when you are on a night out and need to touch up they are fantastic. So when I saw Collections offeting of the Work The Colour range I just had to snap some up.
The Collection offering of eyeshadow pencil comes in 6 colours. These are:

Vanilla Sky
Gunmetal Glitz
Vintage Blush
Hot Chocolate
Midnight Glam
Denim Diva

The colours are highly pigmented, and go onto the lids really easily as well as smoothly. I found that they were easily blendable with other powder eyeshadows and didn't look too cakey on the lids. I only have four of them at the moment.

Vanilla Sky
This is a lovely white colour with a tiny bit of a shimmer running through it. Shows up very white when on the lids, this could be used as a base to enhance the colour of other eyeshadows.

Gunmental Glitz
You may remember that this was feature on my October facourites last year, this is a lovely grey colour with a shimmer running through it, easily applied to the lids.

Hot Chocolate
This is a lovely dark brown, brilliant for when you want to change your eye makeup for a night time look.

Denim Diva
This is a dark blue colour, it is highly pigmented, and I lighten the colour up by just adding a lighter eyeshadow on top.

These can be found at Boots or Superdrug or on the Collection website.

I Love...Raspberry & Blackberry Body Spritzer*

DISCLAIMER: Product was a gift for Christmas.

This was a stocking filler from my partner at Christmas, and as you know I love the smell of raspberries. This has found it's way into my bag on a daily basis so if I need a spritzing I can just pull this out give it a couple of pumps and then I am on my way.

You just spray the mist all over and it just keeps you smeeling all nice and sweet (I've just bought myself the body butter and the body polish in this scent range, and I can't wait to use them.

It retails at £2.99 and can be found on the superdrug website here.

GOSH Velvet Touch Foudation Primer - Clear

I saw this in Superdrug and really liked the packaging and that it was a pump bottle instead of a tube.

On first using this primer the texture of it reminds me of Smashbox's Photo finish primer, as it seems that it is a silicone based primer and it does feel quite greasy when putting it onto the face. Once the foundation and powder is on it then does calm down a bit.

I did notice that once I put my foundation on it didn't really hide or blur my pores (especially on my nose), but it does keep my make-up on for a good length of time.

I did like this primer but for the price of it which is normally £12.99 (I got it originally with money off, Superdrug sometimes do have money off on it so if you do want to try this for yourself then keep an eye out), I don't think I would bother repurchasing, when there may be other primers that might blur my pores for a fraction of the cost.

It can be bought from Superdrug here.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This is another of those blog and YouTube hits that you see everywhere, I had to try this and see if it was worth all the hype that it had been receiving.

The concealer comes in four shades:

Fair
Light
Medium
Deep.

I'm using fair, it's a really creamy concealer, and the shade I have is a lot lighter then my skin tone (this isn't too bad as it does brighten my undereye area quite alot).

It does also hide the dark circles under my eyes, but word of warning if you use this concealer and you're off to see a soppy movie don't expect it to last when the tears have finished (So not water resistant, don't believe that line).

I do like how much this concealer lightens up my under eye area and blends into the skin really easily (you're not sat there for what feels like hours)

Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Holidays Mascara*

* Denotes free gift with purchase.

This I got free in December when you spent over a certain amount on Bourjois products.

This mascara comes in three other shades:

  • Electric Blue
  • Purple Mania
  • Green Lagoon

All good for adding some colour to your lashes on a night out.
I love the wand and the brush on the mascara, it's a huge brush but because the wand is so small it allows you to control the brush easily.

It is also suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers as the mascara was tested by Bourjois to make sure of this.

I love this mascara it allows you to control the brush and where you want the product so that your lashes don't become spiders legs, and because the bristles are quite evenly spaced it doesn't clump your lashes.

Carmex Lip Balms

I love a lip balm, behind nail polish they are a big obsession with me, who doesn't want to keep their lips looking nice and shiny, as well as moisturised, and looking in tip top shape (hands up!).

Carmex have their tube lip balm (they also do stick lip balms which will be blogged about later but here I will deal with the tube balms). The packaging on these lip balms is unusual and I will admit I have never seen packaging like this (I mean the domed head for the applicator). All the lip balms have camphor which leaves your lips tingling which isn't bad but can be quite funky smelling with the cherry and strawberry.

This specific lip balm comes in a range of flavours (Original, Mint, Cherry, and Strawberry).

Mint
This gives off a nice smell of mint, and leaves your lips tingling.

Strawberry
I love the smell of Strawberry but this also gives off a mint smell because of the camphor in the product.

Cherry
This has to be my favourite out of the four different tubes

Original
This just smells mentholated due to the camphor in the product but it does leave your lips nice and covered.

Overall they are a good lip balm, the formula is quite gooey so you only need a tiny amount (or your lips look like they've been glued together).

Avon Haul

DISCLAIMER: I am not bragging, this is just a look at what may come up in the blog, products were bought with my own money.

Who doesn't love Avon, my friend has become a rep for them so I nabbed a book off of her to look through and ended up purchasing a couple of items.

Avon Eyeshadow Palette - The Nudes

As you know I love brown eyeshadow (I'm not a big experimenter with colour), and this palette just looked like it had some great colours that I could use during the week while I'm at the work.
As you can see from the swatches some colours are more pigmented then others.

Avon ColorTrend Face Powder - Translucent

I love a good face powder, and I haven't tried anything from the ColorTrend range for ages so this seemed like a good one to dip my toe into.

Avon Eyeshadow Duo - Warm Cashmere
As I said with the eyeshadow I love brown eyeshadow during the week, and this seemed like a good one, as you can see in the swatches the first shade seems quite pigmented, but the other isn't.

Avon Naturals Rose & Chocolate Body Lotion

The scent of this was the reason I bought this (rose & chocolate reminds me of turkish delight). I have now actually smelt this and it is more rosy then chocolatey, but it still smells gorgeous.

Avon Care Light Moisture Face Cream

I'm wanting to try a new face cream as my skin is going through a bit of a dry patch (I can't win it's either too oily or dry). This sounded like it might be good to add a small bit of moisture to my face. The cream is a gel cream (which I haven't ever tried before). I'm looking forward to using it.

Avon Naturals Rose & Chocolate Spritzer
This was bought because of the scent, and it does smell gorgeous can't wait to properly use this and see how long it lasts during the day.

GOSH Prime and Refresh Illuminating Eye Primer

I love a good under eye refresher, helps get rid of the suitcases under my eyes and brightens them up.

This I bought to test out and to see if this would help with dark circles and bags because I'm not a morning person so any extra help I can get with the bags under the eyes is heaven sent.

The product boasts that it will help with tightening the skin instantly (I never noticed this to be honest), it will reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness (nope definitely did not help)

The theory behind this is sound, I love the top where it has 3 little balls to massage the product into the skin rather then the normal 1, but I never noticed a difference under my eyes (my under eye area is just so tough that nothing will work).

This can be bought at Superdrug or online here.

So the search carries on for a good under eye product that will help remove the bags and tighten the skin. Have you tried any good products that help with bags and dark circles?, if so leave a recommendation in the comments below

N.Y.C. Showtime Mascara

I bought this as the packaging caught my eye (yes I am fickle, give me some nice packaging and I'll pick it up), and for £1.99 from Superdrug you can't really complain.

So what does the mascara do, well the formula is supposed to be smudge, flake and smear proof, and I have tested that boast to the fullest (I rub my eyes, then realise I have make up on DOH!). I can confirm that it doesn't flake away so you're left with specks under your eyes, and once I have put it on it hasn't smudge or smeared.

I like the brush as it is quite thin but it allows you to get into the corners (the hard to reach places). It coated the lashes quite well and didn't start to flake off by the end of the day (which is always a good thing).

Overall a good mascara and one I would purchase again.

L'Oreal GlamShine Stain Splash - Bonnie

I will admit this was a completely fickle purchase, I bought this because I loved the packaging, the product looks like it cost more than it actually did (you can not beat some good packaging)

Now onto the good stuff the actual product, I have to admit this actually surprised me I thought that once this was on it would just be a normal lip gloss, but once it was ony my lips it started to go thicker and ended up turning into a liquid lipstick.

This stayed on quite a while but if I didn't keep re-applying after a couple of hours it would then start to get clumpy on the lips. I found to make the tint last a bit longer add a swipe of clear lip balm (this will add some moisture back into the stain and give you more time before it starts to go clumpy again.

Overall I love this product and I will have to go and buy more shades in the range.

Soap & Glory™ It's About Prime™ Eyeshadow Underbase

I bought this from Boots hoping to be impressed, Soap & Glory always bring it with their makeup and with some of the price tags on their cosmetics I should hope they do.

I wasn't that impressed with this product, no matter what eyeshadow I put on my lids it always turned them white, even if it was a brown colour.

By the time I got home at 6pm I would have a crease of eyeshadow (not the greatest of looks when working 7 1/2 hours), so it hasn't really got that much staying power.

Don't let me put you off this might work out better for you than it did for me (Skin type could be a factor), but this just didn't work for me, and once I've used this up I won't be repurchasing again.

Shade 10 - 2True

This is a lovely navy colour, and once dried goes to a lovely shiny finish. The brush is a flat one that fits onto the nail quite easily (but there can be a lot of the polish on the brush so make sure you get the excess off of the brush). I found that when painting the dreaded right hand there wasn't too many mistakes that needed cleaning up afterwards (which is always a plus)

The polish is quite opaque even on the first coat, I did add 2 coats to the nails (as you do with any mani).

A great polish that I will be wearing again especially around autumn.

Maybelline Volum' Express The Mega Plush Mascara - Black

This has to be one of my favourite mascaras this year, I love the brush (which apparently is called a flexor brush, who knew?)it's such a big fluffy brush and guess what? It doesn't pick up a load of product (which as you already know I absolutely hate with mascara wands).

The formula coats the lashes quite well, and you don't get the excess amount of product on the wand (your lashes don't look like spider's legs). It gives good coverage and really gets all the lashes because the brush is just so plush (It is true, it's so plushy!!!)

Overall a good product and one that I would repurchase as it just makes my lashes just look so full and long.

Welcome to the February edition of my empties, this month has been a busy month when it comes to my empties, I will forewarn you it is going to be EPIC!, Enjoy

1. NSPA Eucalyptus and Watermint Hand Wash*

4. Johnsons Baby Shampoo
I finished another bottle, which I will need to replace (at the moment using a miniture, great for cleaning my brushes.

This is really good for deep cleaning my brushes, it really gets the product out of the brushes. I use the baby shampoo to rinse the product out.

11. FCUK Body Scrub*
This was a birthday present a while ago and I've managed to get to it in my massive body scrub stash, it had a really nice smell and wasn't too harsh on the skin.

12. Collection Skylash Mascara - 17 Ultra Black
I loved this mascara, it really extended my lashes. I do think this has been discontinued and I thought it was time to throw it out.

13. Boots Double Sided Cotton Wool Round Pads
I love these cotton wool pads, they are double sided (the softer side for your face, and the other side for your nails)

14. Primark Round Cotton Wool Pads X300
These weren't too bad they were quite rough so I won't buy them again, maybe I'd use them on my nails to remove nail polish but that would be about it.

15. Superdrug 100% Pure Cotton Wool X100
This was a bit rough on my face, it wasn't really bad and I could still use them but I'd probably use just to remove nail polish.

16. Collection Fix Me Up Long Lasting Make Up Fixer
This was a really good setting spray, but the only con against it is the price of it for the size of the product.

17. Wella Silvikrin Hairspray
A good hairspray kept good hold, and didn't make my hair look rock hard.

18. IKEA Tindren Candle - Apple
Smell really nice, made the room smell like apples but the wax didn't properly melt down there was quite a lot left.

19. Tesco Cotton Buds X100
These were great just to clean up any make up mistakes.

20. Style Expertise Taming Anti Frizz Serum
I love this anti frizz serum, have just repurchased it. It kept my hair from frizzing, and for under £3 that is a bargain.

21. Lily of the Valley Hand Wash*
This was a stocking filler from my mum, I love Lily of the Valley, it's my favourite smell and this smelled lovely.

In The Navy - Bourjois

November 2013 saw the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who and I wanted a nice Doctor Who Blue for the month and this one was it.

I only needed 1 coat and it was fully opaque, I will admit I did add 2 coats just as a precaution and to make the polish stay on longer. The brush was one of the flat brushes that fitted to the nail really well and there were less mistakes on the dreaded right hand.

I absolutely loved the colour and it matched the Doctor Who Blue that I was after and I will be wearing this one again.

February Favourites

Welcome to my Fabruary Favourites:

1. KIKO Single Eyeshadow - 122 Mat Beaver Brown
This is one of my first foray into KIKO cosmetics, and I love this eyeshadow it such a lovely borwn and very pigmented, great for during the day especially when I am at work.

2. L'Oreal Eau De Teint Foundation - Porcelain
This is a great foundation, and one I will miss once it runs out, it is so lightweight on the skin you do hardly realise you are wearing anything. It would be a good foundation during the summer months due to the fact that it also has an SPF in and it is light on the skin.

3. Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails
This was a recomendation from Simone over at ThirtyOAP, and thank you Simone this is a fantastic nail dryer, I sprayed my nails and after a minute they were fully set, this will be staying in my nail polish drawer.

4. Shade 10 - 2True
This is a lovely navy colour, I loved how easily it went onto the nail, and I couldn't believe how pigmented it was.

5. Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Holidays Mascara - Black
I am in love with this mascara, I love that the packaging is small but the brush is still quite big as it allows for you to easily use the wand.

6. Soap & GloryTM Super Fabu-LipstickTM - The Missing Pink
I love this lipstick, it's a light pink colour but it's just a touch brighter then your lips, now I'm not a big lipstick person, but I would wear this all the time it's just that good.

7. Miss Sporty Eyeshadow - 108 Romance
This is another of my favorites this month, I've been using this just on my lids for work but it can easily work as a base when doing a smokey eye look.
