Barry M Lash Vegas Mascara - Blackest Black with Fibres

I love Barry M, especially their nail polish, so when I realised that they had a mascara I though I've got to try this, and here it is.

Lash Vegas with fibres has a spiral shaped brush which is supposed to stop lashes from clumping by separating them. This is the edition that contains fibres which they state will stop the mascara from clumping on the lashes (if the brush is supposed to do that why the fibres now hmmm?)

I will admit I am on the fence with this one, when you pull the brush out it is full of excess product (which you know is my pet peeve with a mascara as it always leads to clumping). The mascara does separate my lashes but I've not really noticed any great length definition in my lashes.

Overall not a mascara I would try again (it really needs to pull something out of the bag between now and expiry), and there are a lot more that still need to be tried out. So this may just end up being one that stays in my current everyday makeup but ends up at the back of the drawer.

This I got free in December when you spent over a certain amount on Bourjois products.

This mascara comes in three other shades:

• Electric Blue
• Purple Mania
• Green Lagoon

All good for adding some colour to your lashes on a night out.
I love the wand and the brush on the mascara, it's a huge brush but because the wand is so small it allows you to control the brush easily.

It is also suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers as the mascara was tested by Bourjois to make sure of this.

I love this mascara it allows you to control the brush and where you want the product so that your lashes don't become spiders legs, and because the bristles are quite evenly spaced it doesn't clump your lashes.

Collection Kohl Eyeliner Precision Colour - Black

This I picked up as I love a good black eyeliner, they always make my eyes pop I think, so I bought this eyeliner from Boots.

I mainly use eyeliner in the waterline and just under the eye, so I am always on the lookout for an eyeliner that is going to give a nice bold line to my eyes.

This is a nice eyeliner, it works well with the water line. It stays on fine for a 3 to 4 hours tops before you have to then reapply.

This is good to use on a night out (by the time it starts to disappear you won't be bothered to notice), but if your wanting to wear it during the day, make sure you take it with you.

Bourjois Fan-Tastic Volume Mascara

I was quite fickle with this purchase, as

A)I wanted the free gift that was on offer,

and

B) I'd been eyeing this mascara up for ages because I love the packaging.

Now I am a tiny bit dissapointed, as you can see in the picture above the brush gets so overloaded with product you can hardly see the actual brush.

Once on the eyelashes it can make my eyelashes quite clumpy and give you spider's leg (and you do need an eyelash brush to de-clump).

I don't know if I would buy this again as I am not a big fan of how much product goes onto the brush, I have to clean the brush off on the side which then wastes some of the product and for the price of the product that is quite bad.

Overall not a big big fan I would till use it but I don't think I'll repurchase again.

Avon Mega Effects Mascara

I am always trying to find a good mascara, it is like the holy grail, I've been using this one for a while and I am not impressed. I was at first with the applicator being so different but after trying to apply this, I can't even count how many times I have ended up looking like a panda because this has smuged, or I've stabbed myself in the eye trying to apply to my lashes.

The shelf life of the mascara is only 3 months which is so short from the regular 6 months that other mascara's give you (I am really strict when it comes to mascara's as the formula is going near my eyes I don't want to tempt fate by using past their recommended date.

On the whole the mascara is good but for me I just couldn't get around the applicator and I thought for the price of the product and the shelf life it just was not worth repurchasing.

Artstix Nail Art Pen

Models Own have a line of nail art pens consisting of 9 colours, which are 5 pastel colours, 2 metallics and White, Black and Pink. I have the Black one.

Artstix Nail Art Pen - Black

I was using the black one to create stripes on my nails. The brush took a while to get used to as it is quite long but once I did it didn't seem to go too badly. The brush is quite long and a lot of the product does stay on the brush, I spent a lot of my time getting the excess off of the brush. The lines it created were quite bold and I only needed to use it once to get an opaque line.

You can also use the dotting section of the pen, but for the moment trying to create lines was a baby step for me.

Overall Thoughts.

I thought this product was good and I will use it again but only quite rarely when I want to have a try at nail art again.
