October & November Favourites 2015
I apologise for my sporadic posts and long absences but as stated things at work have been so busy and I am currently on 8AM starts working in a Portacabin till after the New Year with no specific month when we can move back to our old building.
So to make up for that I am going to try and post everyday in December (operative word is try), and to kick us off is a double favourites post.

Revlon PhotoReady Primer
Revlon isn't a brand that I normally look at in the drugstore unless I am looking for something in particular. I have heard some good things about the photoready primer and thought I would give it a try.
The primer is lightweight and is supposed to soften the skin as well as diffuse light to help minimise flaws and even the skin texture out. The primer is also oil, talc, fragrance, and paraben free,
I absolutely love this primer, it creates such a great base for my foundation that I notice it hides my pores and just allows for a smooth and flawless look. The primer applies really well on to the skin and the statement is true it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and just creates an amazing canvas for your foundation.
The primer retails for £12.99 and can be found at your local BOOTS or SUPERDRUG or online by clicking on the links.
Thanks for tuning in

#ManiMonday: Happily Evie After - Rimmel
Welcome to another Summer addition of #ManiMonday with Happily Evie After from Rimmel Salon Pro range.
This is a nice coral colour (the swatch photo just doesn't do it justice, no matter where I took it my camera turned it orange).
The polish applies really well to the nail, thanks to the large flat headed brush (it covers the nail fully). The polish became opaque on 2 coats and is such a great shade for Spring/ Summer.
The polish lasted for a really long time on the nails and I will be reapplying it again during the Summer months.
The polish can be found in your local Boots or Superdrug and retail for £4.49.
Thanks for tuning in.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick
Since becoming a beauty blogger I have noticed that I have become a bit of a lip geek (so to speak), so while I was in my local Boots I picked up two of the Revlon Ultimate Suede lipsticks to see what they were like.

Revlon Powder Blush - Racy Rose
As you know since becoming a beauty blogger I have fallen in love with blusher, it adds a nice healthy glow to the face, so as with all makeup products I am looking for my holy grail.
The packaging on all Revlon products is beautiful, it is so sleek and simple showing some elegance, the packaging is quite sturdy so if placed in your makeup bag it's not likely to get broken.
The blusher is such a lovely pink shade, I wouldn't say that it is all pigmented but it is buildable so allows for you to darken the shade if you want to when applied to the cheeks.
This is one of my favourites to use all year round as it is such a versatile colour and looks so great on the cheeks by adding a healthy glow.
The blusher retails for £7.99, which is about normal for Revlon, this can be found in your local Boots or Superdrug and can be found online at BOOTS and SUPERDRUG.

Valentine's Reds (The Lippy Edition)
Happy Valentines Day everyone and welcome to a valentines day post, last year I did my top five red nail polishes (HERE), so this year it is the turn of the lip products.
Russian Roulette - Sleek
Russian Roulette is quite a dark matte red, and the best one if you are wanting to rock a dark bold lip on Valentines Day. This lasts quite long on the lips due to it being a matte lipstick, but I will forewarn you make sure your lips aren't having a dry day as this can show up dry patches. This is a really bright red and the Rouge Edition Velvets had to be included. The formula is so long lasting and great during that romantic meal.
Candy Apple is quite a sheer lipstick, so this is for those of you that want to try a red lipstick but don't want to be too daring
This again is another bright red but with a darker tinge to it then Hot Pepper above. This is a gorgeous shade on the lips and looks just fantastic. The formula is matte and is also quite long lasting on the lips.
The Redder, The Better - Rimmel Colour Rush Lip Crayon
This is another sheer red with an orange tones, it applies to the lips fantastically and is also great if you are not wanting to be too daring on Valentines Day.I hope you liked the post, is there any red lip products that you love that weren't featured?
Thanks for tuning in

Chocolate Truffle - Revlon Parfumerie
I love the Revlon Parfumerie range, the bottles are fantastic and so cute so when I saw there was one called Chocolate Truffle that was it, it had to be tried.
Chocolate Truffle is a lovely dark brown shade and would be great during the Autumn months. I applied 2 coats to the nails as well as the Elegant Touch spray, and I still got the scent of chocolate.
The polish applied well and on the 2nd coat became fully opaque, the brush is small so allows for you to reach into the sides of the nail well. As the brush is small there was a fear that this may cause streaks in the nail but this didn't.
I can't wait to try the rest of the collection in the parfumerie range as well as smell some of the scents.
Thanks for tuning in

Lime Basil - Revlon Parfumerie
The parfumerie range from Revlon was a massive launch this year, the theory with this polish is that it is scented and to show this the bottles are in the shape of parisian perfume bottles (they seem Parisian to me).
This is a different colour to what I am used to so I am pushing some boundaries (well my boundaries but they are boundaries). The colour is between a pastel and a dark green you could agree on a lime kind of green.
When you open the bottle you get a hint of what the smell might be. The brush is a small, thin brush which allows for you to reach in the corners. With a thin brush I did worry that it would be streaky, on the first application it was but it corrected itself once the second coat was applied.
I applied a top coat (Sally Hansen Insta-Dry), and worried that the smell might not come through once dried, but I was pleasantly surprised that the smell came through and what surprised me even more is the smell lasted a couple of days, I was only expecting it to last a day at most.
Overall a great polish and one that I will be wearing again come Spring.
Thanks for tuning in

Revlon PhotoReady BB Cream - Light
This was the start of my first foray into BB Creams, while I was on holiday I wanted something that was going to give me light coverage but with some SPF and I stumbled up this BB Cream from Revlon.
The BB cream boast of 5 values.
1) Hydrates your skin like a moisturiser
2) Smoothes your skin like a primer
3) Covers your skin like a foundation
4) Blurs flaws
5) Protects the skin with SPF30
The BB cream when applied to the skin has a light coverage on the skin so brilliant for during the Spring/Summer.
The BB cream has a lot of boasts and I find that it does exactly what it says on the tin (so to speak),it protects with SPF30 and adds a light coverage to the skin (which during the summer months is always a good thing).
I do like this BB Cream it protects my face, adds a light coverage, adds a bit extra hydration to my skin, and covers flaws well. Overall a good product that I would repurchase again.
Thanks for tuning

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balms
These are Revlon's most recent launch (I covered the matte balm's previously here) So I had to go out and buy them and see what the hype was all about.
I have 2 (at the moment), the range consists of 10 balms ranging from browns to pinks. I have the 2 brown shades here to review.
Ingenue
Ingenue is a light brown shade and when applied to the lips it is a very sheer colour and only gives a hint of colour. I noticed when applied to the lips it also gave off a tingling sensation (so unsure if the balms have a thing in them to plump up the lips.
This would be good for when you just want a hint of colour on the lips and nothing to dramatic or bright. I would wear this for a natural look or a 'I'm not wearing make-up or am I?' kind of days.
Coy
Coy is the darker of the shades and shows up a lot more on the lips then Ingenue. The balm applies easily and smoothly to the lips. This has to be my favourite out of the two as it adds a bit more colour then Ingenue does.
Overall they are nice on the lips and apply fantastically, but if I had to choose between these and the matte balms, I prefer the matte balms a lot more then these.
Thanks for tuning in
