#Mani Monday - Mist - Barry M

Welcome to another #ManiMonday, we have now hit March and get ready for an influx of the pastels ready for Spring. The first up is Mist from Barry M.

Mist is a pearlescent blue shade from the Silk collection, this applies really well to the nails, this is such a great colour for Spring and looked so good.

The formula of the polish was really good, not too gloopy and didn't apply too thickly to the nail so dried really well. I applied 3 coats to the polish to make sure that it turned opaque, I really liked this polish and can see myself wearing it again during Spring.

Thanks for tuning in

Magpie - Models Own (Speckled Egg Collection)

First of all Happy Easter everyone, hope the Easter Bunny brought you some nice eggs, he did with me. To celebrate Easter in all it's glory I am showcasing Magpie from Models Own's Speckled Egg collection.

A warning about the pictures above the camera just couldn't catch the true colour whether by sunlight or indoor lighting. The colour is mainly green but with a tinge of blue to it.

With this polish I was dubious as to how the discs of glitter would go onto the nail and would the polish be really thick because of these discs? The answer is the polish isn't as thick as I thought it might be, and the glitter goes on really easily.

The polish on the 1st coat is pigmented but streaky so a 2nd coat was applied, on the 2nd coat the polish went opaque barring the tips (you can't see it in the photo unless you are really looking for it).

I noticed when applying this polish that there wasn't many mistakes, especially on the dreaded right hand, I think I had one or two to clean up and that was the majority so a really good polish for Spring and Easter.

Thanks for tuning in

Muchi Muchi - Essie

Another Spring colour for you a light pink offering from Essie called Muchi, Muchi.

Muchi, Muchi is a lovely I would say baby pink colour, it is also a very light colour and I found myself putting 4 coats of it onto my nails before it looked opaque enough. I think if you are going to wear this colour you will need a white polish on the bottom just to give it full opacity. The brush is a flat type brush that makes it somewhat easier to apply to the nail (it's getting into the corners without covering yourself in nail polish that's the hardest).

Barring the opacity issues with the polish, I did like the colour (I'm not the greatest lover of pink so that is saying something). I think it would also be a great colour for a wedding, it's not too dark and not too bright. It's also great for spring.

Thanks for tuning in

Spring Nails 2014

Welcome to my top 5 Spring Nail Polish, now this took a while to choose the colours as I had some nice ones.

So lets get on with the show:

Prickly Pear - Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine.
This is a lovely pastel purple colour, and it is from the Barry M Gelly range, so it has a really glossy finish to the nail.

Reggae Splash - Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate Moss
This is such a lovely coral/orange colour, it looks a lot lighter in the bottle then it does on the nail, but it is such a lovely bright colour for spring.

Cornflower Gleam - Models Own HyperGel
You can not have spring nails without having a light blue, and this is the one I have chosen, it is from the new HyperGel range from Models Own and is such a lovely colour, it's not too dark but it's not too bright either.

Lemon Cream - Mavala
I love a good pastel yellow, bright yellows are for summer and the pastel yellows are for spring, and this is a great pastel yellow for spring, it's just bright enough to get you ready for the brighter yellow in Summer.

Mint Apple - Sinful Colors
This is a nice green colour, and it's not too bright on the nail that you end up needing sunglasses to look at it. Goes on to the nail quite well and not too thick either which is always a good thing.

Hope you like the choices, what nail polish says to you Spring??

Thanks for tuning in
