June Empties

Welcome to my June empties, it still surprises me how many products I get through in a month.

On with the show:

Cotton Wool and wipes is the category that seems to make up a large percentage of my empties.

Boots Double Sided Round Cotton Wool Pads
I love these cotton pads for my face as they are so soft and not abrasive on my face, I already have another packet on the go

Superdrug Cotton Wool Buds
These are great for cleaning up nail polish mistakes, already have another pot on the go.

Cotton Buds
I have had these for ages and have just used them up, they were ok and did exactly what they say on the package.

My Baby Wipes
I use these just to clean my hands while I'm putting my makeup on in the bedroom, these were OK, I have another packet on the go as they were on offer but I wouldn't buy these again.

Handy Wipes
These are fantastic, they are multipurpose wipes so they are great for keeping in my bag (especially when thomas eats chocolate and gets it all over his face).

Morny Lily of the Valley Body Moisturiser
This was a lovely moisturiser, a really strong scent of LIly of the Valley and absorbed into the skin brilliantly. I would repurchase this again but I already have a couple to use so am on a body lotion/ butter ban.

I Love...Raspberry & Blackberry Body Polish
I loved the smell of this but it just didn't scrub the way I wanted it to, it just felt like it was tickling the skin then getting rid of any dead skin cells.

Dove Original Deodorant (Travel Size)
I put the large size in a favourites recently, and have just used up a travel size (I put this in my bag when I am on a night out)

L'Oreal Skin Perfection 3 in1 Purifying Micellar Solution
I love this micellar water, I would repurchase but knowing that I can buy the Garnier one which is exactly the same but contains more, I won't be buying it again in the near future.

The Body Shop Mango Body Butter
This is gorgeous, it feels so buttery and applies really well. The scent is so strong it stays on the skin for ages. I already have another small pot on the go already.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation - Porcelain
I wasn't that impressed with this foundation, this one was really too light for my skin (I ended up mixing it with the next shade in the range), and it just didn't seem to match my skin type.

Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails
This is my holy grail when it comes to nail polish drying, it dries my nails so quickly and really does what it says on the tin, I already have another on the go.

2 True Pro Prime Perfect Primer
This was an ok primer, it worked OK, wouldn't repurchase this in the near future as I have a load of face primers to go through

L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara
I liked this mascara especially the brush, the thin point really got into the inner and outer corners of the eyes and coated all the lashes. The only downside was the amount of product that got onto the brush and as you know that is one of my pet peeves..

Bourjois Fan-Tastic Volume Mascara
An OK mascara but again had a load of product on when the brush was pulled out of the packaging.

IKEA Sinnlig - Spa Day
This was a lovely candle and just for £1 I think they smell lovely. The candle burned for ages and really scented the bedroom. I would repurchase this again

IKEA Sinnlig - Clementine
This was so lovely and reminded me of summer so a great candle for the summertime. I would repurchase this again.

2True WOW Waterproof Mascara - Black

I bought this mascara as I had heard that it was a really good waterproof mascara, that really wouldn't budge (for the beach this is a must).

It applied to the lashes well but even though it stayed put in wet weather after 2-3 hours I would have panda eyes (this really wasn't a good look), I tried to persevere with the mascara to see if the black rim under my eyes was just a one off but it kept happening, this mascara just did not do it for me, and it will be one that I won't be using again.

2True Prime Perfect Primer

I am always on the lookout for a good drugstore primer and at £5 this was quite inexpensive.

I bought this a while ago but the product had remained unopened, when I did finally open it and start to use it I squeezed the packaging and a clear substance came out, I could clearly see that the primer was supposed to be a nude colour. In the end I squeezed the bottle out to get rid of the clear substance and see what the actual product was like when a massive blob of primer came out onto the back of my hand.

So I wasn't impressed there, once I finally did get to the primer it seemed OK so I gave it a try, the primer once applied to the face turns very sticky and reminds me on SEVENTEEN Stay Time Long Wear Primer.

It isn't a bad primer, I have noticed that it does keep my make-up on longer than others I have tried which is a plus and I like it for that, but I am really not impressed by the clear liquid that came out and then a big massive blob of product . The seal hadn't even been broken on the tube before I opened it and it's already separated. I may have just got a bad tube that may have been sitting under some lights for too long but it is still bad that, that can happen.

I won't purchase this again due to it might happen again which is still quite bad, other then that is was a good primer.

Shade 10 - 2True

This is a lovely navy colour, and once dried goes to a lovely shiny finish. The brush is a flat one that fits onto the nail quite easily (but there can be a lot of the polish on the brush so make sure you get the excess off of the brush). I found that when painting the dreaded right hand there wasn't too many mistakes that needed cleaning up afterwards (which is always a plus)

The polish is quite opaque even on the first coat, I did add 2 coats to the nails (as you do with any mani).

A great polish that I will be wearing again especially around autumn.

Thanks for tuning in

February Favourites

Welcome to my Fabruary Favourites:

1. KIKO Single Eyeshadow - 122 Mat Beaver Brown
This is one of my first foray into KIKO cosmetics, and I love this eyeshadow it such a lovely borwn and very pigmented, great for during the day especially when I am at work.

2. L'Oreal Eau De Teint Foundation - Porcelain
This is a great foundation, and one I will miss once it runs out, it is so lightweight on the skin you do hardly realise you are wearing anything. It would be a good foundation during the summer months due to the fact that it also has an SPF in and it is light on the skin.

3. Elegant Touch Rapid Dry for Nails
This was a recomendation from Simone over at ThirtyOAP, and thank you Simone this is a fantastic nail dryer, I sprayed my nails and after a minute they were fully set, this will be staying in my nail polish drawer.

4. Shade 10 - 2True
This is a lovely navy colour, I loved how easily it went onto the nail, and I couldn't believe how pigmented it was.

5. Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Holidays Mascara - Black
I am in love with this mascara, I love that the packaging is small but the brush is still quite big as it allows for you to easily use the wand.

6. Soap & GloryTM Super Fabu-LipstickTM - The Missing Pink
I love this lipstick, it's a light pink colour but it's just a touch brighter then your lips, now I'm not a big lipstick person, but I would wear this all the time it's just that good.

7. Miss Sporty Eyeshadow - 108 Romance
This is another of my favorites this month, I've been using this just on my lids for work but it can easily work as a base when doing a smokey eye look.
