February Empties

Products marked with * were a present for Birthdays/ Christmas.

Welcome to the February edition of my empties, this month has been a busy month when it comes to my empties, I will forewarn you it is going to be EPIC!, Enjoy

1. NSPA Eucalyptus and Watermint Hand Wash*
This was a Christmas present, I wasn't that taken with the scent of it, it just smelled like fish to me, my partner couldn't smell it but I was glad to be rid of the smell (I'm not ungrateful I just really did not like the smell of this)

2. No7 Brush Cleanser
I love this brush cleanser, and I had another in the bathroom ready to take it's place, it just works so well on getting the make up out of my brushes.

3. Superdrug Cotton Wool Buds X100
These are fantastic for when I need to clean up any mistakes when I've been painting my nails

4. Johnsons Baby Shampoo
I finished another bottle, which I will need to replace (at the moment using a miniture, great for cleaning my brushes.

5. The Body Shop Passion Fruit Body Butter
This I bought a while ago and have just got around to finish it, it smell really fruity, and I would buy again but I think the line has been discontinued.

6. Avon Advance Techniques Mirror Shine Spray*
This I got for Christmas a while ago and have just managed to get around to using it. I didn't notice that it made my hair shine any more or any less.

7. Batiste Dry Shampoo - Cherry
I love batiste and this was my last large can of dry shampoo left, all I have now is miniatures. I would repurchase this it had such a lovely scent.

8. Simple Face Wipes x7 & x25
I love to use face wipes just on a night to remove the bulk of my face make up ( I do then do a last sweep with some micellar water). These were good wipes and didn't break me out so that is always a plus.

9. Avon Senses Winter Delight Shower Gel
This I have had flying around my bathroom for what seems like ages, and have finally managed to finish it off. It was a really nice scent very festive.

10. Strictly Professional Cosmetic Brush Cleanser
This is really good for deep cleaning my brushes, it really gets the product out of the brushes. I use the baby shampoo to rinse the product out.

11. FCUK Body Scrub*
This was a birthday present a while ago and I've managed to get to it in my massive body scrub stash, it had a really nice smell and wasn't too harsh on the skin.

12. Collection Skylash Mascara - 17 Ultra Black
I loved this mascara, it really extended my lashes. I do think this has been discontinued and I thought it was time to throw it out.

13. Boots Double Sided Cotton Wool Round Pads
I love these cotton wool pads, they are double sided (the softer side for your face, and the other side for your nails)

14. Primark Round Cotton Wool Pads X300
These weren't too bad they were quite rough so I won't buy them again, maybe I'd use them on my nails to remove nail polish but that would be about it.

15. Superdrug 100% Pure Cotton Wool X100
This was a bit rough on my face, it wasn't really bad and I could still use them but I'd probably use just to remove nail polish.

16. Collection Fix Me Up Long Lasting Make Up Fixer
This was a really good setting spray, but the only con against it is the price of it for the size of the product.

17. Wella Silvikrin Hairspray
A good hairspray kept good hold, and didn't make my hair look rock hard.

18. IKEA Tindren Candle - Apple
Smell really nice, made the room smell like apples but the wax didn't properly melt down there was quite a lot left.

19. Tesco Cotton Buds X100
These were great just to clean up any make up mistakes.

20. Style Expertise Taming Anti Frizz Serum
I love this anti frizz serum, have just repurchased it. It kept my hair from frizzing, and for under £3 that is a bargain.

21. Lily of the Valley Hand Wash*
This was a stocking filler from my mum, I love Lily of the Valley, it's my favourite smell and this smelled lovely.

Thanks for tuning in

Empties: December 2013

* denotes gift, ^ bought with points.

Welcome to another edition of my monthly empties.

As you know I was trying a use-up month in December and I did really well, so let's get on with the empties, I know I am also late with my empties, my favourites will be posted tomorrow.

  1. Chocomania Body Butter (The Body Shop) - I absolutely love this range, this body butter is just gorgeous, keeps my skin all lovely and smooth. I haven't repurchased as I'm using some others up at the moment.
  2. Nivea Invisible for Black and White Deodorant - This deodorant is suppose to go on clear and not transfer white patches onto black clothing or turn white clothing yellow. To be honest I didn't really notice if it did or not, I probably won't repurchase as again I have a load of deodorants flying around that need to be used up.
  3. 3 in 1 Cleansing Wipes (Co-Op) - These were good for the price but they did feel quite rough on my skin so won't be repurchasing again.
  4. Cosmetic Brush Cleaner (Strictly Professional) - This is a favourite for cleaning my brushes, and the price is really reasonable, and I will be repurchasing this again.
  5. Strengthening Nail Polish Remover (Sally Hansen) - This wasn't a bad nail polish remover, removed all my polish and it did leave my nails feeling quite nice and smooth.
  6. Round Cotton Wool Pads x200 (Asda Skin System) - These I did find quite rough on my skin so I mostly used them for removing my nail polish but for the price (£1) they weren't bad and I would repurchase.
  7. Square Cotton Wool Pads x50 (Bodycare) - These I absolutely loved, they were so soft, and they were brilliant for spot cleaning my brushes, I will be repurchasing this again.
  8. Herbal Essences Fresh Balance Clarifying Shampoo -  This was flying around my bathroom for ages and I finally managed to finish it, it had a lovely smell and it did leave my hair feeling lovely and soft.
  9. Chocomainia Body Scrub (The Body Shop)* - This was part of a gift set that I got for Christmas 2012 and only just got round to using, and I am now wondering why it took me so long as this stuff was fantastic and smelt lovely.
  10. Cleansing Wipes (Boots)^ - These were a repurchase after finishing the co-op wipes, and one I will repurchase again
  11. Oval Cotton Wool Pads (Superdrug) - I initially didn't like these pads because they felt quite rough on my skin but they were great for cleaning my brushes.
  12. Maybelline SuperStay 24Hr Foundation: Light Beige - This was a fantastic foundation and one I will repurchase again in the near future. Had very good coverage and was very lightweight on the skin, and the colour match was brilliant too.
  13. Rimmel Exaggerate Shadow Primer - This was a good primer, and I might repurchase but at the moment am using my avon lid primer.
  14. Batiste Dry Shampoo: Floral - This was a travel size that I have had for ages and just managed to use it up.
  15. Cotton Wool Buds x2 (Superdrug) - These are my favourite cotton buds for cleaning up my nails after a messy mani, think I have 5 tubs of these and have just purchased another.
  16. Johnsons Baby Shampoo - I use this just to clean my brushes when doing a deep clean just to wash out the brush cleanser so there's nothing left behind on the brushes.
  17. B. Pure Micellar Water - This I was not impressed with, I couldn't take my eye makeup off with it because it stung my eyes something rotten. Won't be repurchasing again.
  18. Chocomaina Beautifying Oil (The Body Shop) - I like a body oil for when I come out of the shower/bath and this one was fantastic (if you notice the bottle got a bit battered from being in the shower - oopsie). The price of £9 is reasonable but I haven't repurchased as I am trying out cheaper alternatives (watch out for a post on one I'm trying at the moment)

BLOGMAS 2: November Empties 2013

Welcome to my monthly November empties post.

1) Kleenex Facial Cloths
These I have had flying around at the back of my bathroom cupboard for ages and finally got around to using them (I'm not sure if they still sell these anymore, but don't trust me on it)

2) Boots Essentials Fragrance Free Wipes 25s (£1.50)
I use make up wipes to get my foundation off (I saw this being done by BeautyBaby44 on one of her youtube videos and thought it was a good idea)

3) Mark Hill Straight Spray
This is another that has been lying around my bathroom for a while, I haven't used it in months and it just looked like it was festering. I know they have rep

4) Mark Hill Straight Shampoo
As you can see this is the old packaging, and I have had this bottle for a while.

5)
Avon Mega Effects Mascara
I wasn't a big fan of this mascara, the idea of the long brush is sound but I just kept poking myself in the eye and giving myself panda eyes (not a good look)

6) Corsodyl Toothpaste
I bought this thinking it might help my gums and it did but I just could not get over the taste of it. It has sea salt in it so it makes it quite salty and just leaves a really weird taste in the mouth.

7) Dove Maximum Protection go fresh Pomegranate & Lemon Verbena Scent
This I bought as an alternative to the Sure version which I have used previously and will be going back to using the Sure version of this.

8) Boots Oval Double Sided Cotton Wool Pads x50
I wasn't a big fan of the size of these cotton pads, I loved the double sided texture of them thought, you had a lighter texture for using the pad on your face, and then a much tighter texture if you were going to use on the nails. I didn't like the size of the pads as I thought they were a tiny bit too big, but boots do these exact same pads in the round size so might have to invest in them next month.

9) Cotton Wool Pads 100X Superdrug
I bought these from superdrug mainly to use for nail polish remover, but when I bought the L'oreal micellar water, these found a permanent place in the bathroom. I will repurchase these again, but at the moment I am trying out the oval sized cotton wool pads to see how they do.

10) Superdrug Cotton Wool Buds
These are pointed on one end and are fantastic for tidying up nail polish mistakes (especially on the dreaded white hand)

11) Rub Rub Rub - Lush
This stuff is fantastic, I absolutely love it as a body scrub.

12) Batiste Dry Shampoo (Tropical)
I always use a dry shampoo when my hair is straight, it is just to refresh my if I leave it down. This one had such a lovely scent of coconut (I love coconut)

13) Elnett Satin Extra Strength Flexible Hold Hairspray
With my hair being straight for the last couple of days, I have been using up hair spray, just to keep my hair from frizzing up and flying all over the place.

14) L'Oreal 2 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution
I love this to take off my make up, I mainly use for my eyes then do a once over of my face to get the last little bit of foundation and primer off.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

DISCLAIMER: All opinions are my own and product was bought with my own money.

When I have straightened my hair and want to keep the style in for a couple more days before my hair goes back to its natural state of an explosion, I use Batiste's Dry Shampoo. The dry shampoo comes in a range of scents and some even come for specific hair types so there is a very wide range to choose from.

The ones that I have been using recently are the Cherry and Tropical scent (Tropical is going to be featured in my November Favourites, a heads up for you).

I love the scents coming off of these ones especially and they work brilliantly in the hair, they stop my hair from looking greasy and makes my hair smell lovely.

What is your favourite from the batiste range?

October Empties - 2013

Hi and welcome to my first installment of my monthly empties post.

1) The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Wash
This is only a sample size bottle that I got in a set to try out the range, and it is fantastic, this clears your skin up brilliantly.

2) Batiste Dry Shampoo - Cherry
I have been an avid fan of dry shampoo since I first found it, this one was lovely and had a nice cherry scent.

3) The Body Shop Ginger Shower Gel.
I got this in a gift set for Christmas off of my stepson and have just finished it, it was absolutely lovely such a christmassy scent

4) Britney Spears Curious
I got this for Christmas one year and have just finished using it, it has a lovely scent, and it is one I would buy again.

5) Nivea Stress Protect Deodorant
When it comes to deodorant I am quite fickle, I want a deodorant to do what it says on the tin, and this one did come quite close, I will probably repurchase this again.
